JULES C. PEASE Funeral services were held at Morris, N. Y., for Jules C. Pease, 77, formerly of Dexter, who died Aug. 29 in the Fox Hospital, Oneonta, N. Y., with a heart attack. The Rev. Truesdale officiated and interment was in Hillington Cemetery at Morris. He was born at Chesuncook, Me., Sept. 18, 1883, son of Jules and Elmere (Forgue) Pease. Married three times, the deceased's first wife, Delia Clukey, died in 1905. After the death of his second wife, Margaret Caswell, several years ago, Mr. Pease married Harriet Smith of Morris, N. Y., in 1952, who survives. A machinist and tool maker for 54 years, he was employed many years at the Fay and Scott Machine Shop. Mr. Pease, who retired three years ago, has been a resident of Morris since 1925, moving there from Dexter. He was a member of the Zion Episcopal Church and Louisville Grange of Morris; Penobscot Masonic Lodge of Dexter, and a former member of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F., and the Rebekah Lodge o Dexter. Besides his wife, Harriet, he is survived by a son, Nathan F. Pease of Dexter; a granddaughter, Mrs. Harold Tewksbury, Ripley; a great-grandson of Ripley; seven brothers, Henry, John, Octave and Edward, all of Jackman, Me., Earl and Thomas of Portsmouth, N. H., and Fred of East Berne, N. Y., two sisters, Mrs. Rose Quirion of Jackman and Mrs. Edward Sherman of Morris, N. Y.; many nieces and nephews.
