Obituary	MRS. BLANCHE R. LYFORD Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Mrs. Blanche R. Lyford, 88, who died at the Cushman, Nursing Home Saturday after a period of failing health. The Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiated. Bearers were: Howard L. Davis, Charles E. Dustin, Jackson R. Bridges and Donald W. Brown. Interment was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. She was born at Dexter, July 14 1872, daughter of Gilman and Verice (McKenney) Fifield and had been a life long resident. She was one of three surviving members of the former Book and Thimble Club of Dexter; a past member of the Sunshine Club and Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by a brother, Ralph H. Fifield of Billings, Mont., two nieces and several cousins. note: per family information, spelling of mother's name should be Verniece (7/2001)
