Obituary
ARTHUR H. PAGE Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Arthur H. Page, 91, who died Saturday at the Plummer Hospital after a long illness, The Rev. Walter B. Wakeman of the First Baptist Church officiated. Members of the Masonic Lodge conducted their service. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Mr. Page was born at South Sangerville, March 8, 1979, the son of Asa C. and Maria (Bailey) Page. He married Minnie Garland September 24, 1902. A well known carpenter, he had lived in Dexter 46 years and had built many homes here. He was also employed for many years at the Fay and Scott Machine Shop. Since his retirement in 1953, Mr. Page has kept busy in his woodworking shop, making furniture and other articles. He was a past master of South Sangerville Grange, and a member of Dexter Grange; a past master of Penobscot Lodge 39, A. F. and A. M., in which he held a life membership of 57 years; and a member of the First Baptist Church. Besides his widow, Mrs. Minnie Page, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William H. Warden of New York City and Mrs. Chester J. Scharmer of East Longmeadow, Mass., six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several cousins. A third daughter, Mrs. Vera Pearl, died in 1950.
