CHARLES REXFORD SLATER Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Charles Rexford Slater, 73, who died Saturday morning at the Plummer Hospital after a long period of failing health. The Rev. Herman Grove of the Methodist Church officiated, and the Odd Fellows attended the service as a group. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. A lifelong resident of Dexter, he was born here April 4, 1886, the son of George and Emily (Martin) Slater. He was employed as a molder for many years at the Fayscott-Landis Machine Corp. plant. He was a member of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F. of Dexter. Surviving are is widow, Alena, of Dexter; one son, George, of Dexter; one daughter, Mrs. Norma Farnham of Seaside, Calif., one brother, George Slater of Dover Point, N. H., one sister, Mrs. Mabel Young of Dexter; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
