Obituary	CHARLES REXFORD SLATER Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Charles Rexford Slater, 73, who died Saturday morning at the Plummer Hospital after a long period of failing health. The Rev. Herman Grove of the Methodist Church officiated, and the Odd Fellows attended the service as a group. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. A lifelong resident of Dexter, he was born here April 4, 1886, the son of George and Emily (Martin) Slater. He was employed as a molder for many years at the Fayscott-Landis Machine Corp. plant. He was a member of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F. of Dexter. Surviving are is widow, Alena, of Dexter; one son, George, of Dexter; one daughter, Mrs. Norma Farnham of Seaside, Calif., one brother, George Slater of Dover Point, N. H., one sister, Mrs. Mabel Young of Dexter; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
