Obituary	REGINALD H. FARRAR Reginald Houston Farrar died Jan. 29, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he was spending the winter. Born in Ripley, Dec. 24, 1889, he was the son of Caroline Mower and William H. Farrar. He received his preliminary education in the Ripley and Dexter schools and was graduated from Colby College, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. When he retired from the United States Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service in 1952 after 30 years of service, he had attained the rank of Chief Investigator. Returning to Ripley, he opened an antique shop and spent many hours in his flower garden. He was an active member of the Methodist Church of Buffalo, N. Y., a charter member of the Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor, and was affiliated with the Mayflower Society of New Jersey. The father of three children, he was predeceased by one son, Pfc. Richard Y. Farrar, killed in action in World War II. Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Grace A. Farrar; a son, Dr. Reginald M. Farrar of Jersey City; a daughter, Mrs. Calvin C. Theebald of Kearny, N. J.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Grace Linscott of Portland, Maine. Committal services will be held at Ripley in the spring.
