EARL C. PERKINS, SR. Private funeral services for Earl C. Perkins, Sr., 73, were held Sunday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter. Mr. Perkins, father of Mrs. Arthur Haseltine, of this town, died Friday at the home of his son, M/Sgt. Earl C. Perkins, Jr., in Bangor after a long illness The Rev. E. King Hempel of the First Universalist Church officiated. Remains were entombed to await burial this spring in a Sangerville cemetery. Mr. Perkins was born in Abbot, Jan. 4, 1887, the son of James and Mary (Fogg) Perkins. He had made his home for a time with his daughter, Mrs. Haseltine, Lower Main st., since coming from California where he had lived several years with another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Weidmann. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Charlotte Perkins, who is in a Sangerville nursing home; his son of Bangor; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Haseltine of Dexter and Mrs. Dorothy Weidmann of Sacramento, Calif., one stepdaughter, Mrs. Hale Daggett, Washington, D. C., three sisters, Mrs. Edith Mitchell of Abbot, Mrs. Helen Potter of Bar Harbor and St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Jennie Gough of West Medford, Mass., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
