LINWOOD F. PATTEN Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Linwood Frank Patten, 64, who died Wednesday night at Togus Veterans' Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. Herman Grove officiated. Interment was in the Dover Cemetery with the Dexter American Legion Post conducting the military committal service. Mr. Patten was born in Blanchard, March 9, 1895, the son of Stephen and Carrie (Packard) Patten. He had lived in both Bangor and Dexter; was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion. He is survived by one son, Robert S. Patten of Bangor; two daughters, Mrs. Charlene C. Hill of Dexter and Mrs. Ruth E. Ricker of Milo; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Weymouth and Mrs. Nina Blanchard, both of Guilford; a stepson, Clifton R. Mountain, Dover-Foxcroft; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Pearl Hainer, Bangor; 10 grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
