MRS. WALTER N. ROWE Mrs. Esther (Church) Rowe, 81, wife of Walter N. Rowe of Main st., Dexter, died Wednesday afternoon at the Plurnmer Hospital after a long illness. The remains are at the Crosby Funeral Horne where friends may call from 2 - 4 p. m. and 7 - 9 p. m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Frederick Niles, a former minister of the Dexter Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Mrs. Rowe, a well-known teacher in the public schools of Dexter and nearby towns for 35 years, was born at Bradford, December 27, 1877. The daughter of Barnard and Mary (Smith) Church, she had lived the greater part of her life in Dexter. She was a member of the Dexter Methodist Church, the Women's Christian Temperance Union Dexter Woman's Literary Club, Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, of which she was a past noble grand, and an honorary member of the Dexter Teachers' Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by one nephew, J. Fenton Marsh of Gorham, N. H., and one niece, Mrs. Roy Ward of Wilton, Me.
