Obituary	KENNETH S. SAWYER Funeral services were held at the White and Hayes Funeral Home in Bangor, Tuesday afternoon, for Kenneth Sherwood Sawyer, 51, of Orrington, son of Dr. and Mrs. H. Stanton Sawyer of Dexter. He died Saturday evening in a Bangor Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Garland, Feb. 4, 1908, son of H. Stanton and Florence E. (Cole) Sawyer. He was educated in the Garland schools and attended the University of Maine for a year. He was a member of Eureka Lodge, I. O. O. F., of Orrington. Mr. Sawyer was a former employee of Fox and Ginn, Inc., and Peavey's Express in Bangor, and the Fay & Scott Machine Co., Dexter. For the past 13 years he had been employed by the Eastern Corporation. Besides his wife, Helen (Peavey) Sawyer of Orrington and his parents of Dexter, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Fitz of Orrington; a son, Sherwood E. of Bangor; a sister, Mrs. Thelma LaFrance of Lynn, Mass., two brothers, Guy of Garland and Warren of Dexter; four grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
