MRS. SADIE GIFFORD LANE Mrs. Sadie Gifford Lane, 75, wife of Eugene Lane, died Wednesday at her home in Embden after several years of ill health. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home of her son, Francis Gifford, with the Rev. Francis Cox, pastor of the Holy Family Church officiating. Entombment was at Elmwood Cemetery, with burial at Dexter cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Lane was born in Dexter June 26, 1883, the daughter of Janmes and Mary (Pushard) Clukey. She became the wife of the late Samuel Gifford in 1900. Mr. and Mrs. Gifford moved to Sangerville from Dexter, and resided here for many years. After her husband's death, Mrs. Gifford lived in Dexter for several years, and later married Eugene Lane of Embden. Mrs. Lane was a former member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Sangerville. Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Alfred Currier of Wellington; Francis Gifford of Sangerville; George Gifford of Wallingford, Conn. A sister, Mrs. Emma Gilbert and a brother, James Clukey, both of Dexter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three step-children, Mrs. Janice Smith, Kenneth and Vernon Lane, all of Embden.
