Obituary	JOHN B. RAFFORD Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home for John B. Rafford, 98, who died Sunday morning at the Plummer Hospital, Dexter, after a short illness, The Rev. Howard E. Benson of the Methodist Church officiated. The remains were placed in the funeral home vault and burial will take place this spring in the family lot at Houlton. Mr. Rafford was born in Ashland, June 20, 1870, the son of Worden and Serena (Howe) Rafford. He was a retired railroad employee and had lived in Houlton and Smyrna Mills before coming to Dexter 25 years ago. The last living member of a family of 12, he was a former member of the Dexter Methodist Church and the Royal Order of Woodsmen at Houlton. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kelley of Dexter and Mrs. Rhobena O'Neal of Norridgewock; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
